We want you to get the most of your Magnificent Heroes membership. If you don’t see the answers you need in order to do that, please submit your question and we will address it. It may even be added below in order to benefit other members as well.
If The Answers Aren't Here.... Submit Your Question.
If your looking for answers about how to use the features of the Magnificent Heroes site, first check the questions that others have asked on the Questions & Answers page. If you don't find what you need to know, you can submit your question at the bottom of the page... and it goes into a queue for admin to review. After review, we'll try to answer it and add it to the page to help others as well. If one person doesn't understand, it's pretty certain that someone else won't either. Remember being told that the only stupid question is the one that isn't asked? Well.... not necessarily true. If someone submits an obviously stupid question... we will simply delete it.
Nobody will know... not even us. Questions are submitted without the member's information attached. But, if you have a question and you DO want us to know who submitted it... or need an answer right away... please submit it to us from the site's "Contact Us" page.
Let People Know Who You Are
Your name and if you are older than 18 are the only required fields... and you even have control over how your name is displayed . If you don't want to share the rest of the fields in your profile, you don't have to... but, it's there for those who DO want to share it. Otherwise, how will people really know who they are talking to and if they want to connect with you or not?
The trick is to select the year FIRST to see the full list of months. (i.e. - If the year says the current year and it's only June... the only months shown are Jan-Jun).
Note: You DO have to select the year when adding your birthday... but, if you are sensitive about your age, you can always select in your account preferences to NOT display the year!
We hate the idea of having you leave, but you can delete your member account at any time.
- Go to your profile
- Click on “About”
- Select “Account” in the menu
- Scroll to the bottom
- In “Profile Deletion”, click “Delete”
No... your privacy is important to us. We never provide your information outside of the site and when you close your account,, all of your data is removed.
Make The Most Magnificent Heroes
The Magnificent Heroes Messenger service encrypts all content before transfer to the websocket server and decrypts on client site with special secret keys. Messages are stored encrypted in the database to enhance the security... and are readable only by the intended audience.
If you are wanting to post it community wide, all you need to do is *on the Community Activity" page or on your profile... where it says "Say what's on your mind", click there. There will be a little bar open right below it that you click the first set of boxes to change the post type (text post, Photo, Video, a Post w/ background, a poll, files... like PDFs, or a GIF). Clicking the globe next to it will let you set who can see it (public (default... which means even non-members seeing your profile page can see it), site members, friends only, only me). Clicking the pin lets you pin it to the top of your profile stream or a group page you have admin access to. Clicking the clock lets you post it immediately (default) or at some future time. Clicking the group of people lets you post it to your profile (default) or a group. Clicking the Smiley lets you stamp your mood at the top. The last icon lets you post your location.
Posting it to just one person is the same as above, but you post it on THEIR profile stream. Anyone with access to their profile will be able to see it there.
Messaging is the only totally private communication on the site... so if it's for one person's eyes only, go to their profile and find in their header, the envelope (or open an existing conversation) and next to where you type your text is a paperclip that you can click to attach a file... image, PDF, audio clip,etc.
On your profile... where it says "Say what's on your mind", click there. There will be a little bar open right below it that you click the first set of boxes to change the post type (text post, Photo, Video, a Post w/ background, a poll, files... like PDFs, or a GIF) and select either audio or video. At this time, you are limited to uploading files that are 20mb or less. If your file is larger, what you might want to do is upload it to your account on either YouTube or Vimeo and then enter the link in your Magnificent Heroes post or message.
